Mood, within 90 minutesThese are observational comparisons. They do not establish that an activity, event or health metric caused a mood change. Differences may reflect time, context, sleep, and many other factors. At least 5 check-ins per group are required.

Even Sync

Run Even SyncHelp and privacy
Even Sync sends what you leave on under What Even Sync sends: up to the last 7 days of steps, resting heart rate, heart rate variability and exercise minutes; your sleep from recent nights, or up to a month on the first sync; your alarms; and the titles, times and calendar names of events for today and the next 7 days from the calendars you keep. Anything with no data is left out, and anything turned off that still arrives is discarded.
Your device key is saved as a plain-text file, even-device-key.txt, in an Even folder in On My iPhone. It isn’t encrypted by Even. Anyone who can open that file, and any Shortcut you let read it, can use the key. Don’t share it.
If Shortcuts asks, turn on Allow Sharing Large Amounts of Data in Settings → Apps → Shortcuts → Advanced.
To sync on a schedule, add a Time of Day automation in Shortcuts that runs Even Sync, and choose Run Immediately. Your iPhone must be unlocked to read Health data.
To disconnect, tap Disconnect this iPhone, then delete the file in Files.
What Even Sync sends
Even Sync checks these each time it runs. Turning one off stops new data, and what’s already saved stays until you erase it.
Calendars
Even Sync skips calendars you turn off, and their saved events are hidden. Turning one back on brings in events from the next sync.
Alarms
Alarm names and times are saved to your account, like your Health data.
Run Even Sync to bring in your alarms.

Using Garmin, Peloton or another app?
Even reads what Apple Health holds, so an app that shares with Apple Health comes through on your next sync.
- Open the Health app and tap your picture.
- Tap Apps, then choose the app. If it isn’t listed, turn on Apple Health in that app’s settings.
- Turn on the categories you want to share.

Your first name can appear in notifications, including on your Lock Screen. When you’re signed in, check-ins and their notes are saved to your private account so they appear on your other devices. They’re stored as readable text. Health data, calendar events and alarms you sync are sent over an encrypted connection and stored in your private account. None of this is end-to-end encrypted. Weekly reflections, breathing sessions, suggestions you mark done and which check-ins you answered stay on this device. Sign-in codes are sent through our email provider. If you use Google, it tells us your email and name. You can disconnect a device or erase synced data at any time. Even is for the US and in English for now: support numbers are US only, and Even Sync reads Health in English. Send feedback in Settings opens an email with your app and sync details, and nothing else, and sends only if you send it.

Your local data
Mood check-ins, notes and locally imported health and calendar data are kept in this app’s storage on this device. Check-ins and notes also go to your account when you’re signed in. Clearing site data or deleting the Home Screen app may erase them.

Shortcuts
How the Shortcuts work
Even Sync is what everyone installs. It sends Health and calendar data. Running it from this app connects it, so there’s no key to copy.
Even Release is for developers. It holds no credentials, and only approved accounts can publish.
To release a change: push it, then tap Run Release Helper. It keeps itself up to date, runs Even Sync and checks the versions. If an update is needed, tap Replace and run it again. If a version needs publishing, it asks you first and tells you when it’s live.

About the insights
Comparisons need at least 5 check-ins in each group. Mood data is subjective and gaps can skew results. Nothing here is a diagnosis or proves a cause.
